The Independent Public Hospital No. 4 in Lublin is the largest clinical hospital in the Lubelskie Voivodeship and the 9th largest in Poland. Hospital at ul. Jaczewskiego was built in 1964 as a treatment facility for 600 patients. As a result of expansion and a number of renovations, it currently has beds for about 800 patients treated with the latest methods. More information about the history of the hospital.

The Independent Public Hospital No. 4 in Lublin has had an Accreditation Certificate issued by the Center for Quality Monitoring in Health Care since 2000, and a Quality Management System Certificate since 2004 in accordance with the requirements of the international standard PN-EN ISO 9001: 2015. And it has the largest cardiology center. Within the structure of the hospital, there are departments with the highest level of reference (Department of Obstetrics and Perinatology, Department of Gynecology and the Department of Neonatology and Intensive Care) and with the second level of reference (Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care and Department of Vascular Surgery).

Specialist Clinics complement the role of the hospital in the macroregion. They provide comprehensive outpatient care in 31 specialties, including as rare as: pain management, nutritional therapy, immunology and genetics.

Department of Cardiac Surgery performing coronary bypass procedures, operations of heart defects in extracorporeal circulation. Department of Nephrology with a Dialysis Station performing highly specialized procedures, e.g. plasmapheresis, the department has the highest, first category entitling to training and specialization of doctors. The largest cardiological center in eastern Poland performing coronary, structural and electrocardiological procedures. Department of Neurology – a leader in the field of mechanical thrombectomy. Department of General Surgery, Transplantation and Nutritional Treatment - the only transplant center in south-eastern Poland. The department provides parenteral and enteral nutrition at home. The third reference level - Department of Obstetrics and Perinatology and the Clinical Department of Gynecology.
